Was just watching Titanic on television for the umpteenth time. Despite the amount of times I have seen it, it's such a really good, depressing film. Easter is round the corner and I'm finally on holiday, for 4 weeks...good times!! Found these lovely, funky patterns by artist Arnaud Loumeau. Nice how each design starts off with one mini squared space and expands into visually impacting and colourful patterns. Pretty cool huh?
Sorry for the lack of posts and updates, university has kind of taken over, but not for long mwahahaha; Christmas holidays are almost here....yippee! At the moment I can totally relate to Natasha Bedingfield's lyrics "I need some help, some inspiration, but it's not coming easily". I've been struggling to find inspiration, the kind that triggers me off on a "design tangent"; but I think I'm slowly starting to find some inspiration. These visually striking illustrations were designed by a London based illustrator called nikki farquharson ...check out her website, she has other neat stuff on there.
Will be posting other findings I stumble upon, and seriously if you guys out there find some interesting stuff let me know too please! Lets inspire each other =) 23 days till Christma...yippeee!
EDIT: haha I just realised that the illustrator (Nikki) went to the same uni as me, but graduated in 08!
Easter holiday is over, it ended too quick but it was good while it lasted. So far UK weather (this year) has been awful, but this week has been amazing, sun shining , clear sky, not too hot; now that's what I'm talking about. Today after college I went to the Design Museum to view fashion designer Hussein Chalayan’s exhibition. In case you are not familiar with his designs - he is renowned for his innovative use of materials, and implementing new technology into his designs. Think robotic/transformer dresses (HA!). Personally I think his technologic clothing is amazing. Take a look at it in action yourself
(video below).
I also took a nice walk down London Bridge, in which I saw former model making a new 's advert; was really random!
